This just in, out of Africa! Ethnic prints, tribal drafts, vivid beadings, raffia trims, made their way to NYFW and they are claiming there spot in next season’s wardrobe. Get a groove and be bold enough to mix up some wicked indigenous patterns.

Capolanas, these beautiful African hand-died fabrics, is something you buy of the streets anywhere in Africa, but this time they have been the inspiration for some drop-dead-glamorous summer outfits. With their jagged organic shapes and shambolic stripes they promise to take us back to the roots.

Other seeds have also been sown, accessories that bear animal prints (as I written about earlier), ivory, east Indian rosewood, and exotic feathers.

Giuseppe Zanotti, Sergio Rossi, Stella Jean and Mara Hoffman are just some of the designers that have gone Afro!
