I came across Masha Keja one day walking on rue Vieille du Temple in Le Marais, the hip district.
Drawn in by the different colours and textures of these gorgeous leather bags on the display window I decided to go in.
Olivier, the artist’s husband, showed us around and we had a lovely chat about the brand’s history and his wife’s career in the fashion industry (having worked in major fashion houses such as Lancel and Christian Lacroix). The artist’s heritage clearly influences her designs, rather visible in the resemblances with Russia’s military uniforms of the XIX century made in cannetille.
The attention to detail is visible and the quality of the materials makes these pieces unique.
All around the world fashion victims are surrendering to Masha Keja.
I for one am sold! Are you?
